Mrs. Wendy Yates has more than 20 years of diverse legal experience. As a practicing attorney, Mrs. Yates is a current member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and has been recognized as a Texas Super Lawyer* by Thomson Reuters since 2019. Wendy is Board Certified in Estate Planning and Probate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and is a current TBLS Exam Commission Member. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Rice University and her J.D. from the South Texas College of Law. Prior to her legal career, Wendy specialized in working with individuals who had developmental disabilities and their families. As a result, she serves a client base with a wide range of estate planning needs, from special needs and long-term care planning to preserving generational wealth and minimizing federal transfer taxes. She is a frequent speaker to community and professional groups providing information and guidance on key estate planning topics. Mrs. Yates is a past President of the Brenham State Supported Living Center Volunteer Services and Brenham Rotary Club, past officer of the Washington County Bar Association, and past board member of the Washington County Chamber of Commerce. She provides expertise to Precedent Wealth Partners as an independent consultant to the Wealth Planning Committee.
